Doesn't Anyone Think?

I grew up in Northern Virginia - which has very little in common with anything...well, northern. So I'd like to be sympathetic. But I couldn't help but laugh when I say the WaPo headline about winter storm Leon - btw when did they start naming winter storms? I digress...
And I know I shouldn't laugh - but two inches? Seriously? My outrage? What possesses people to not take the proper precautions before a storm? This wasn't a surprise storm - it was predicted for days - so when the weather reports are given, use your head and stay the fuck home if you can't drive or walk or whatever else people do below the Mason-Dixon line.
